Happiness and Harmony

So often we think if I have this, I’ll be happy, or when I do that, I’ll be happy.  I’m guilty of it too.  We often tie our happiness to things.  But happiness should be internal.  Gandhi really had this one right.   When your thoughts and your actions are in harmony, that is when you are happy.  Think about it you may have lots have happy thoughts, but if you’re working at a job you hate, true happiness will evade you.  To experience true happiness you have to get all of your proverbial ducks in a row.  Marshall your thoughts, talk the talk and walk the walk.  I know it sounds like a bunch of empty platitudes, but think about those times when you have been truly happy….I mean happy to the very core of your being.  I can just about guarantee that you had all those things in sync.  So toss out the negative thoughts, lose the hateful talk and do what you love – and find your happiness.
