If something is important enough, even if the odds are against you, you should still do it. – Elon Musk
I’m not a big fan of the odds. Super Bowl LII (that’s fifty two for those of us who don’t speak Roman numerals) is next Sunday, and every where I
turn, I keep hearing about odds. The odds of the Patriots winning, the odds of the Eagles winning. The definition of odds, according to dictionary.com is the ratio between the amounts staked by the parties to a bet, based on the expected probability either way. Basically we’re supposed to look at the odds of something and decide if we should go for it or not.
Well the thing is, if you want something, or if you believe that something is possible, and I mean believe it with every fiber of your being, then the so called odds shouldn’t matter. There is always a possibility that someone is going to beat those odds, so why can’t it be you? So if you want it so badly you can taste it. If you believe in it 100%, then ignore the odds, take a chance, and go for it. History is full of people who did and who were successful. Medical science is full of poeple who defied the medical odds and came back from some terrible disease or devastating injury. If they can do it, why can’t you? What’s stopping you from being the next big odds breaker?
