It isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about. – Dale Carnegie
Well today was another crazy day with another late blog post. And just an fyi, I’m going to be traveling for a couple of days so I don’t know if and
when I’ll be able to post. But that also ties in with the fact that your thoughts have power. They do, and so do mine. So I’m going to believe that I will be able to get the blog posts up despite my being away.
I know there are a lot of people who think that thoughts having power is bull, but they really do. How many times have you thought about someone, only to have them call you on the phone. Or maybe you’re humming a song and you turn on the radio it it comes on. Just today, I was driving home from work, and I grabbed my chapstick to put some on. Now this is something I’ve done thousands of times while driving with no issues at all. Today, as I opened it, I thought “Oh, I hope I don’t drop the cover.” Never ever have I dropped the cap to my chapstick while driving, today I thought that I hoped I wouldn’t do it, and of course, I did it.
Your thoughts have power. They really do. So why spend time thinking about what you don’t have and how unhappy you are. You’re just making more unhappiness in your life every time you do it. Instead think about what you do have. Think about things that you are grateful for, and think about things that make you happy. Take your powerful thoughts and use them in a good way.
