Find Your Strength

Share on:

One who gains strength by overcoming obstacles possesses the only strength which can overcome adversity. – Albert Schweitzer

I was looking at this quote this morning, and my immediate thought was I disagree, but as always, then I started to think.  Obstacles are adversity and find your strengthif you overcome them, then you obviously have the strength to do so.  But how do you initially find your strength?

Every day, you’re faced with adversity and obstacles.  Some may be big, and some are very small, but regardless of their size, they are there.  It’s how you deal with them that help you to find your strength.  Look at your obstacles and tackle them head on.  Ask for help if necessary, because in my mind, knowing that you need help is a sign of strength.

I think that the strength comes when you face your obstacles head on.  Know what you are able to do, ask for help when needed and conquer the obstacles that life tosses at you.  Every time you do, you find your strength to move forward and master what comes next.
