The smallest of good deeds has far greater impact than the largest of good intentions
Who remembers their grandmother or grandfather or a teacher saying “the road to hell is paved with good intentions?” When I was little, I didn’t get it. When I was a teenager, I didn’t care. Heck if I meant to do something, that ought to mean something, right? Well as an adult, I know that’s very wrong. I have lots of intentions, and I try very hard to follow through on the ones that effect other people. Then i got to thinking, I need to follow through on the ones that effect me as well. I wouldn’t give less than my best to anybody else, why would I give less than my best to myself.
What you say matters, what you do matters even more. And what you do for yourself is equally as important as what you for everybody else.
