Don’t Worry

Share on:

Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but doesn’t get you anywhere. – Anonymous

Worry is such a waste of time…logically, I know this.  There are songs that remind me of this (Don’t Worry, Be Happy) and let us not forget Mad Magazine’s Alfred E. Neuman’s “What, Me Worry?”

Worry gets you know where.  It doesn’t change anything and it only makes what you’re worrying about seem worse.  However not worrying is hard. In fact, it’s practically impossible.  I wish I knew how not to worry, but I don’t.  I’m working on it though.  I try to be aware of the things that are going on in my life, but I’m working on not dwelling on them or obsessing over them.  It’s not easy, but I’m trying it.  I won’t ignore things and walk blissfully along as though I have nary a worry in the world, but I’m not going to let those worries take over my life, either.
