Find Happiness Within

Share on:

Happiness doesn’t depend on any external conditions, it is governed by our mental attitude.- Dale Carnegie

Yesterday was Christmas Day, and like every Christmas, I find myself rather sad at the end of the day.  At least I’m sad on some levels.  I LOVE finding the right gifts for the people in my life and I get very excited when I find the perfect gift for them and they like what they received.  I did really well this year with that, so go me.  But I do get so disappointed over what I get, because it’s never exactly what I want, or there are no real surprised for me.  I’m looking for my happiness in things – the external things, which is silly.  Things can’t make someone happy, and in fact other people can’t make people happy.  Only YOU have the power to make yourself happy or unhappy.  I sometimes forget that, but I am working hard to remember it 🙂
