Go Forward or Stand Still

Share on:

There are many ways of going forward, but one way of standing still.~ Franklin D. Roosevelt

There’s actually a lot to be said for standing still and preserving the status quo. Standing still is also better than going backwards. However, if it’s a choice between standing still and moving forward, I say go forward. Going forward is scary, it’s uncharted territory, but imagine what the world would be like if explorers hadn’t taken that first step into the unknown?

Taking that first step is hard, but so is taking the second, third and fourth steps, but you can’t allow fear to keep you routed in the here and now. You need to take that first step toward your dreams. It can be scary, in fact, I can guarantee that it WILL be scary, but we can’t let fear of the unknown keep us from going forward. Take a chance, take that first step, and then the next, and the one after that. You can do it!
