Defeat is Temporary

Being defeated is often a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent. – Marilyn vos Savant

We all have setbacks, and times when things just don’t go our way.  That’s a fact of life.  It’s not a happy fact, but it is a fact.  However, when we face a setback, we have a choice.  We can give up, or we can reevaluate and try again.  Giving up is what makes it a failure.  I’m all for reevaluating and finding another solution.  Lets be honest, I am NEVER, in a million years, going to be able to walk through a brick wall.  It’s not going to happen.  I can give up, and consider it a failure, or I can find a new way to get to the other side of the wall.  I may not ever achieve my original goal walking through a wall, but as long as I reevaluate and change my perspective, I can happily say I overcame defeat!
