Stop asking “Why am I still stuck in this situation?” and start asking “What do I need to learn from this situation?”
We all get stuck in situations we’re not thrilled with, and we’ve all had things not go quite the way we planned. When that happens, how do you react. I know that I personally can tend to have a pity party for myself. I’m not saying don’t do that. I can’t very well tell people they shouldn’t do something that I do all the time. That would be the height of hypocrisy. Take a minute, have your pity party. In fact, invite me if you want, I’ll be sure in bring the cookies. But then, stop, take a look around and try and figure out why you are where you are, and what you can learn from it. Once you start learning, you’ll probably find a way to move past the less than stellar thing you’re stuck in, and with luck, you’ll learn enough to not get stuck (in that situation) again.
