It’s My Life

Share on:

I’m the one that’s got to die when it’s time for me to die, so let me live my life the way I want to. — Jimi Hendrix

It’s funny, this quote is attributed to Jimi Hendrix, but all I’m hearing in my head is Bon Jovi:

It’s my life

It’s now or never.

I ain’t gonna live forever.

I just wanna live while I’m alive.

It is your life, and it’s my life, and nobody should tell us how we should live.  I’m not talking ignoring rules and laws, for we don’t want to live in anarchy.  What I mean is this is MY life and I should get to do things that make me happy and make me feel good.  I shouldn’t get caught up worrying about what other people want me to do or expect me to do (again, keeping within the constructs set up by society).  If I want to come home after work every day, put my pj’s on and watch television, I should do it if it makes me happy.  I shouldn’t get all stressed out worrying because I didn’t go out with my friends here or volunteer my time to this cause.  People as a whole, need to stop worrying so much about what OTHERS think and focus on what we think.  Stop worrying about what others are doing and focus on what we’re doing.  We’ll all be a lot happier
