What Makes Me?

I am not who I am because of the things I have learned, but because of the things that I have overcome. –  Tamara Baruhovich

I’m going to be honest…I disagree with this quote on some levels.  I totally agree that the things in our lives that we have to fight against, or overcome sbPuzzledplay a HUGE roll in making us the people we are today.  But I also totally believe that in my live, I have learned things that have helped me to overcome the struggles I face.  Also we learn from the things we overcome.  I am not, however who I am just from sitting in a classroom, or studying a book.  Nobody is that one dimensional – at least I hope their not.  Who we are today is a combination, or better yet, a compilation of so many different things.  And who I am tomorrow is going to be based in large part upon what I learned today, and what I achieved today, and what knocked me down today.
