Diamonds are nothing more than chunks of coal that stuck to their jobs. ?Malcolm Forbes
First let me preface this by saying I fear for our educational system. How can high school students not know how a diamond is formed? But my
students didn’t know that, so what started out as an awesome quote turned into a science lesson, lol. It’s pretty cool how diamonds are made, that lump of coal is getting pressed on by tons of pressure and a few gazillion years later – you get a diamond. And that’s the only job that lump of coal has, getting turned into a diamond. If that lump of coal didn’t do it’s job, we wouldn’t have the shiny pretty things. Like I tried to explain to my students today, imagine if they did their job – the job of being a student, imagine what they could accomplish. Imagine what we all could accomplish if we just stuck to something and got it done? What miracles could we bring forth in our own lives. You have this amazing chance to be your won diamond, all you have to do is your job!
