Just Try And Stop Me – Challenge Day 11

Just Try And Stop Me

by Tracie

The question isn’t who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.  – Ayn Rand

I am totally loving this quote for a variety of reasons  First, it reminds me of the Queen song Don’t Stop Me Now, and as far as I’m concerned, you can just try and stop menever go wrong with Queen. But more than that, it’s a very powerful quote. If you adopt this mindset, and take charge of your life, you’ll be able to accomplish anything.  Now I’m not saying this quote gives you the okay to ride rough-shod over anybody and everybody.  That’s never acceptable in my mind.  What this quote is saying is that if you have a goal or a dream, go for it.  It’s yours to pursue.  Don’t ask for permission, and don’t wait for someone to come up to you and say, “Hey, you.  Did you want to go grab that dream?  Why don’t you just go for it? It’s okay, I’ll let you.”

The first step in the process is to figure out what it is you really want.  Dream your dream, set your goal, and craft the path you’re going to  take to get it.  Don’t expect somebody to hand it to you. No, if you want something, it’s up to you to reach out and grab it with both hands. Don’t wait for someone to hand it to you, and more than that, don’t let anybody stop you.  If you want it, and you’re willing to work for it, then you will get it.  It’s up to you.  Don’t let anybody get in your way. If they try, harness your power, take control and say ” Just try and stop me!”
