You Get Back What You Put Out There

A loving, happy person lives in a loving, happy world. A hateful, miserable person lives in a hateful, miserable world. The world around you reflects YOU.

You get back what you put out there – I’m so not feeling that right now. Normally, I always pretty amazed at how these quotes that I pick out on Sunday manage to reflect what’s going on in my life during the week.  But not this quote, and not this day.  Suffice to say, I work hard to put out a you get back what you put out theregood attitude because I do believe you get back what you put out there.  But I had some stuff going on this week and I don’t get it because there is now way I put that much drama out there lol.

So how do you cope when you’re putting out the Happy Mary Sunshine vibe and get a karmic sh*t storm tossed back at you? You have a couple of options available.  You can wallow in it and feel bad for yourself.  This is probably not the best option, but I’ve done it on more than one occasion.  Your other option is to acknowledge said sh*t storm and move on.  This is by far the better option. Why?  Because if you sit down and really look at what you were putting out there, it probably wasn’t as Happy Mary Sunshiney as you thought, and it really was a case of you get back what you put out there.

I did a little bit of self-reflection after my today went kabloom, and I found out that I actually had some pretty negative thinking going on this week and it made a negative situation that wasn’t of my own making absolutely worse.  So I’m giving myself a stern talking to!  A few setbacks are just that, setbacks.  They are not the end of the world, and in fact, I can use them to make sure I’m on the right track.  I’m turning my mindset around and finding the good in this week and I’m embracing it.  I know things are going to turn around for me because you get back what you put out there.
