There is no one giant step that does it. It takes a lot of little steps to get it done.
I had to think long and hard about this quote when I first found it. It made so much sense and was so simplistic when I first read it. But then I read it again, and again, and again. It’s not just simplistic, it’s EVERYTHING. We are so conditioned to immediate gratification, that many of us forget that to attain what we want takes some effort on our parts. You can want a new car, you can visualize yourself sitting in your new car, driving down the road, but that new car is not going to materialize in your garage until you start doing something to get it. Maybe your way of working will be to enter every new car contest you can find, or you may start researching all your new car options and saving up to buy it. It could be any of those things or maybe a million others that I’m not thinking about, but you will be doing something to get what you want. And because your doing something to get it, when you do get it (and you will) you’ll appreciate it all the more.
