Help Others – Help Yourself

“Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you.” – Mother Teresa

Now, I’m not one to argue with Mother Teresa – that would just be foolish, and actually, I agree with what she said. But I think the first person we have to help, and the person nearest to us is US. I think a lot of us put ourselves last all the time. We give 100% to our family, our friends and our job, but never take any time for ourselves or do anything for ourselves. You need to. If you are continually giving of yourself and not giving yourself anything, you’re going to burn out. Take some time to relax, meditate, exercise, or go for a walk or something. You need to take care of yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually, or you’ll have nothing left to give anybody else.
