Being Yourself

Share on:

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment – Emerson

From the moment we wake up, to the moment we go asleep, we’re bombarded with media images of what we’re supposed to look like. As children and teenagers, we have teachers, parents and friends all telling us what to do, what to think, and what (or who) to like. It seems like we’re never really given an opportunity to discover who we are inside. Discovering who we are is difficult. Remaining true to who we are amidst all the external pressures of the world is indeed a great accomplishment. Remain true to yourself. You are unique, incredible, and amazing. Don’t deprive the world of the person that you are.
