Be Confident

Your self-image controls your performance; see yourself as confident and in complete control.- Brian Tracy

This lesson is so very true.  I like to think of it as playing pretend to make it come true.  If you project an image of fear and doubt, people won’ t have any confidence in you and it will in turn, erode your confidence in yourself. If you project and image of self-confidence, the world sees you as self-confident and in control. Even if you’re not, project that image and in time, you will become more self-confident.

There was a time when I had something really important to do, and I’ll be honest, I was so afraid – I had absolutely zero faith in myself.  A friend told me to look at myself in a mirror and keep telling myself that I was an amazing and incredible human being.  To just keep saying it and saying it and saying it.  Eventually, I started to believe it – a little bit, but it was enough to let me walk into that room and totally SELL myself.  I believed it, so THEY believed it.  Project that image of self-confidence – believe in you and the world will believe in you, too.
