Be the Change

Share on:

You must be the change you wish to see in the world. —Mahatma Gandhi

Most people, at some point in their lives, have these grand expectations of how they are going to change the world. Usually these expectations start during the teen years, when we start to become more aware of the world around us. At least it was that way for me, as I matured and started looking at other things besides me, I wanted to “make a difference.” Making a difference is good, wanting to help other people and change the world – also good. The thing is, you can’t make changes in the world until you first make changes in yourself. I remember being told that change begins at home. It does, change starts first withing and then moves out into the world.
