Make the Best of It

Things turn out best for people who make the best of the way things turn out. – Anonymous

Things don’t always work out the way we want them to work out. That’s a fact of life. I wish it weren’t, but it is. But just because something doesn’t work out the way you anticipated doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing, or its wrong. Look at what happened and think about how you can spin it to make it better. Were you supposed to have a picnic and it got rained out? Why not have a “carpet picnic” at home? No rain, no ants and no sand in the food. Going to a movie only to find it’s sold out? Check out a different movie, or an exhibit at a museum, you may discover something you love.

It’s all in how you look at it. Perspective is a wonderful thing.
