How we Perceive Beauty

Share on:

The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard… But must be felt with the heart.- Helen Keller

I spent a lot of time thinking about this quote today, and I think on some levels I disagree with it.  I think that there are beautiful things that we both see and hear, but it is the fact that we feel them with our heart that enriches them for us.  There is nothing more beautiful than the smile your child gives you – and you see that, but you also feel it in your heart.  In my opinion, to truly experience beauty, you need to open your eyes and your ears, but most of all, you need to open your heart and let beauty in.
