Gratitude is an attitude that hooks us up to our source of supply. And the more grateful you are, the closer you become to your maker, to the architect of the universe, to the spiritual core of your being. – Bob Proctor
Sometimes, it seems like we have NOTHING to be grateful for. It can feel like the universe is conspiring against us. We look around at our lives and all we see are mounting bills, a bad work situation, or unhappy or toxic relationships. The more we look at the negatives and focus on them, the more negatives we seem to have. It’s not easy to stop looking at the negatives and focus on the positives, but it something we need to do. We need to develop an attitude of gratitude. Find things to be thankful or grateful for. It may be something as small as having matching socks that day. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that you honestly feel gratitude for that one thing.
What if you don’t have, or feel that you don’t have even that one little thing? How are you supposed to feel grateful? You can try doing something for someone else. Maybe hold a door for someone, or let someone with fewer items go ahead of you in the grocery store. You can then feel good about helping somebody else. Be grateful whenever you can, as often as you can. You will find that the things you have to be grateful for will begin to expand. The more grateful you are, the more things you will have to be grateful for and your attitude of gratitude will grow and grow.
