Saving the World Starts with Saving Yourself

There’s only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that’s your own self. – Aldous Huxley

Growing up, most of us have all these grand ideas of how we are going to change the world.  We’re going to end childhood hunger, find a cure for AIDS, or cancer, reduce the national debt and end discrimination.  These are all fantastic goals and dreams, and we can do it.  It makes sense thought, to first focus on improving yourself.  Make yourself the best person you can be and spend some time doing a little bit of self-improvement.  If everybody did that, and THEN turned their attention toward improving the world, we’d probably find that we were already more than half way there.
