I seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be. ~Douglas Adams
I talk a lot, okay, all the time, about having a plan, and how sometimes their are detours that take us from our predetermined path. Lots of times, people get upset at detours – especially when you are driving around trying to get some place. The detours in our life plan are no less frustrating. But I want you to think about something. Think about a time when you were lost, or had to make a detour. Did the world end? I’m guessing no, since I’m sitting here typing. I know several times when I’ve been lost in my car, I’ve found a great place to eat, or a new store to shop at, or even just a view that was absolutely breathtaking. The same thing can happen when your life plan hits a detour. You may end up on a completely different path, headed in a completely different direction, but if it feels good, and feels right, you should just go with it. You may end up in a totally different place that turns out to be the right place after all.
