Let Go

Share on:

Breath by breath, let go of fear, expectations, anger, regret, cravings, frustration, fatigue.  Let go of the need for approval. – Lama Surya Das

We hold on to so much JUNK – well I know I do.  I hold on to things that made me angry or things that embarrassed me 20 years ago.  I hold on to regret and loss, and it’s stupid.  I’m working on letting go of all of that junk, and so should you.  Holding on to things that made us unhappy doesn’t do us a damn bit of good, and in fact, it just wears on us.

Make a conscious effort to let go of all that past baggage.  While your at it, let go of the need to please everybody all the time.  When it comes right down to it, the only person you need to approve is yourself.  The thing is, as long as you are holding on to all of that old baggage, you’re never really going to approve of yourself.  So make a conscious effort to let go of the past and focus on appreciating yourself for the wonderful person you are.
