Forgiving

Share on:

Hating someone makes them important, forgiving them makes them obsolete. – Karen Salmansohn

I’ve actually been having discussions about this with one of my nearest and dearests.  Holding on to grudges and anger doesn’t do ANYTHING to the person you are angry with, but it sure as heck does a number on you.  It gives them so much power over you and it diminishes your strength and self-worth.  Let it go, and walk away.  When you do, you’re taking back your power, and you’re making them obsolete.  If they’ve hurt you that badly that you’re holding on to anger or hate, you don’t need them in your life, in any form.  So forgive them, and let it go.  You’ll feel better in the end.
